Journal of Parkinsonism and Restless Legs Syndrome is an open access, peer-reviewed neuroscience journal published from Canada. It publishes three issues per year. The journal publishes review articles, historical reviews, original research articles, case reports, letters to the editor, clinical teaching cases, neuro-radiology higlights, neuro-pathology highlights, neuro-psychiatry highlights, autobiographies, conference proceedings, abstracts and book reviews.
Read More ยปWe are currently seeking submission of papers in the following areas: Parkinson's disease, atypical parkinsonism, secondary and vascular parkinsonism, tremor syndromes, dytonia, chorea, myclonus, Tourette's syndrome, ataxic disorders, restless legs syndrome-related sleep disorders. The review process will be expedited for manuscripts of these particular categories.
JPRLS plans to extend its editorial board by having 3-5 volunteers to serve as co-editors-in-chief. Individuals with the following background are preferred.
Neurologists and neuroscientists with passion for Movement disorders research and education.
At least 3 years of postgraduate experience
Experience in publishing, writing, networking and developing industry relations
Ability to attract guest contributors, reviewers, and work with a team via electronic communication
Ability to review and critique the submitted research material
Organization and planning skills, especially prompt responses to communication and requests Leadership for developing and implementing long-term strategies for content acquisition Ability to recruit and manage a team of highly motivated volunteer reviewers and other individuals to help in various tasks related to public relations, marketing, writing, editing, photos and graphics.
Ability to promptly detect and address any technical or content errors in submissions.
